Over and over, this simple mantra has helped me focus on what’s important. Simple and effective, it helps me target problems and move through them one by one. It applies to concepting, design and even debugging equipment.

Half of my career I’ve worked at design houses where we quoted machine concepts and tooling by the hour to land work. In order to be competitive, every hour mattered resulting in some very tight design deadlines. For over 25 years I have been using some type of CAD software; AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, SolidWorks, Inventor, ProE and Solid Edge are some of the programs I’ve utilized. Currently, I have seats of SolidWorks and Inventor. SolidWorks is my most efficient software of choice, but I have use both software’s to complete jobs recently.
